The wrongly maligned year of Christina Aguilera

Poor Christina Aguilera.

2010 was supposed to be her star, comeback year after disappearing for more than 4 years.  She had been hailed as having one of the best voices in pop music, and she was also one of the sexiest for a while.  For months there had been buzz about the release of “Bionic”–it had been hyped for months due to the amount of collaborators Aguilera would be working with and because it would be her return to the music scene.   With a list of producers like M.I.A., Peaches, Sia, and Nicki Minaj, it seemed like Aguilera would at least have an interesting album to return with.

Then “Not Myself Tonight” was released.

Madonna’s going to be releasing her second greatest hits album in almost ten years and the track-listing/DVD info has finally been released!

First of all, let me say that this collection is going to be MASSIVE so for any Madonna fan–old or new–this is going to be a must have.  I think I almost died a little reading what songs and videos will be included, plus what some of the bonus features will be.  The only thing that would make me happier is if somehow she included copies of “Body of Evidence”, “Who’s That Girl?” and “Evita” with it.  Super fan fun-pack edition maybe?!?!  Secondly, I love her nod to 90s Madonna/Warhol’s “Marilyn Diptych” for the cover.  And thirdly, please God let her tour for this.

Anyways ALL of the tracklisting is under the cut.  Prepare to fanboy/girl yourself out.   I have to start saving.

Soooo excited about this news!!!!!

Tegan and Sara have released a new song titled “Feel It In My Bones” which feautres DJ Tiesto! It’s an interesting collaboration for the twin duo, but the song is awesome and will be featured on Tiesto’s new album “Kaleidoscope.”   Sara recently spoke about working with the DJ saying, “Tegan and I would happily disband if Tiësto let us tour the world with him. I’d take dance lessons and would be open to discussions about wearing “outfits” on stage. We’re proud of the collaboration and can’t wait for people to hear the song!”

Kelly also released the dates for her fall 2009 tour which will hit 32 cities ending in Hollywood, FL on Deceember 13.

You’re Invited To Taylor Momsen’s Sweet 16

Spotted:  Little J planning her birthday party and inviting all of New York City to come celebrate with her.

That’s right, Taylor Momsen is turning sixeen and is throwing a huge blowout to celebrate the event.  And the best part is everyone is invited!! The bash will be held at the Hiro Ballroom on 88 9th Avenue between 16th and 17th.  As an added bonus, Taylor’s band The Pretty Reckless will be performing.  Tickets are $15 and it’s a 16+ show so bring your ID!  The party begins at 9:30, doors open at 8 and you can purchase tickets here.

I’ve met her and hung out with her at one of her shows–she’s insanely cool so the party will be wild I’m sure.
