Meryl Streep and Alec Baldwin Cover Entertainment Weekly

Here’s your first look at Alec Baldwin and the fabulous Meryl Streep on the cover of Entertainment Weekly promoting their new movie “It’s Complicated.”  The film’s about two divorced parents who reunite for their son’s college graduation weekend.  The movie also stars Steve Martin (as Meryl Streep’s boyfriend) and “Weeds” star Hunter Parrish (who I’m guessing will be playing Alec and Meryl’s son?).

With such an amazing cast, the movie should be one of the funniest of this season and I’m very excited to see all four of them interacting together.

Come inside for the teaser article from EW, plus one more picture….

Review of “Jennifer’s Body”

As most of you who read my blog know, I’ve been waiting for “Jennifer’s Body” since July when the redband trailer first hit the next. And it appears that, unlike most people, I was one of the very few who knew it was a comedy. It seems to be the fault of Fox’s mis-marketing this movie as a horror film that “Jennifer’s Body” has done so poorly at the box office so far. But that doesn’t mean that this movie is without it’s horror elements, and with a better studio who would know how to market a movie like this, it could have created some pretty iconic moments.  Which is a shame, because it’s a movie that really needs to be seen in theaters with a large audience to get the full enjoyment.

The movie begins with a bang.  “Hell is a teenage girl,” Needy (Amanda Seyfried) muses, in one of the best opening lines in recent memory, as she’s locked in a mental institution for her involvemnt with Jennifer over the past few months. “I didn’t always used to be like this,” Needy claims after getting into a fight with a security guard and being sent to solitary confinement. “I used to be normal. Well, as normal as any hormonal teenage girl can be.” And with that, we’re off! Continue reading

Meryl Streep And Amy Adams Attend “Julie & Julia” Premiere

Academy Award winner Meryl Streep and Academy Award nominee Amy Adams attended the premiere of their new film “Julie & Julia” last night looking breathtaking at the Mann Village Theater.

Meryl looked lovely in her red dress, accented by a black cardigan and black heels, while Amy looked gorgeous in her sleeveless white dress and tan pumps.  This isn’t the first time the two have co-starred in a film together; the well-respected duo worked together in last year’s excellent film “Doubt” which in return, nabbed them both Oscar nods.

Maybe history will repeat itself this year?

Seriously, if anyone deserves another Oscar, it’s Meryl.  The woman is fierce.

“Julie & Julia” hits theaters August 7th and there are more pictures from the premiere after the jump.
