Megan Fox Spotted on the Set of New Mickey Rourke Film

The gorgeous, flawless, beautiful, adorable etc Megan Fox was spotted coming out of her trailer before filming her new movie “Passion Play” yesterday after a long time of us not seeing her.

In the movie, Megan plays an angel “under the thumb of a ruthless gangster who is saved by a trumpet player down on his luck.”  I have no idea what to make of that plot, but moving along.

More pictures after the cut, and if you didn’t already know Megan really is fantastic in “Jennifer’s Body” so please go rent it.  You’ll be surprised at how awesome and funny it is.

Natalie Portman in Elle Magazine

Natalie Portman is the covergirl for ELLE UK this month and she’s looking gorgeous as usual.  In the article Natalie talks about moving to LA, embracing her inner bohemian and becoming vegan along with more serious topics like why she doesn’t like playing Jewish roles or the “girflriend” in a romantic comedy.

I’ve always loved Natalie and the fact that she’s a feminist at heart who enjoys trees, parks, and all around hippy-ness.  I think we could be best friends.

Pictures and a few quotes after the cut!

Your First Look at James Franco on 30 Rock!

James-01
If these pictures give an indications as to what will be going on in James Franco’s episode of 30 Rock, it looks like he might be in love with an anime pillow.
Hey, Ryan Goslin was in love with a sex doll in “Lars and the Real Girl” so anything’s possible!
I’m ridiculously excited to see Tina Fey and James act together, and I’m about 100% that it will be all kinds of awesomery so I’ll be watching.  The episode premieres sometime this month on NBC!  More pictures after the cut!

Razzie Nomination Predictions: Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, and Miley Cyrus In the Lead!

Twilight Saga New Moon Taylor Lautner Kristen Stewart news

I’m just going to be blunt when I say this: This year has sucked for movies.  Almost every movie released in 2009 was either a product of over-hyping, bad PR moves, or a sense of smugness.  And let’s not forget the fact that Nine has been torn apart by critics and it still has a slew of Golden Globe nominations including best picture.  (It really makes you wonder how much politics plays into award shows)

So thank God for the Razzies who will have no problem calling out most of these over-hyped, awful and downright boring movies by awarding them with the prestigious golden raspberry. The nominations won’t be announced until February 1st but there’s already a large commotion going on over at the Los Angeles Times for their predictions which include Kristen Stewart, Megan Fox, and Miley Cyrus in the lead for Worst Actress and Will Farrell, Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson in the lead for Worst Actor.  The curveball will be if they nominate Nine for Worst Picture after it’s dismal box office numbers and awful reviews.  If it does get nominated, it could be the first time a film is nominated for best picture and worst picture ever.  See my predictions after the cut!

2009: a Pop Culture Year in Review

Note: Watch this video for a mixtape mash-up of pure pop bliss from 2009.

When I think back on 2009, the first thing I will think of is that it was the most creatively inspiring year of my life.  It’s been a long time since artists seemed to be so excited about their craft and dedicated into putting out work that is interesting, thought-provoking, and daring.  We got Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” video, Beyonce evolving into Sasha Fierce, a new slew of young Hollywood actors rebelling against the formula Lindsay Lohan had strewn along, and a surplus of young indie bands releasing some of their most original work yet.

So, come inside for a look back with me and be sure to leave your comments for some of your favorite parts of 2009. Continue reading

Michael Angarano Interview in Black Book

To all of the R-Pattz fangirls who are convinced their leading man is going to become the next great actor: Girl, please.  Michael Angarano, Kristen Stewart’s ex, whom all of you have been hatin’ on for years, already has that in the bag–which I already detailed here.

In this new interview with Black Book magazine, Michael discusses growing up in Brooklyn, living on his own, and his new film “Ceremony”.

Ben Whishaw in Wonderland Magazine

It’s rare that Ben actually gets featured in a magazine (which is crazy because he’s so talented), but Wonderland did a beautiful thing and decided to do a great feature on him that was really interesting to read.  While I’m really disappointed that Bright Star is being overlooked at all of the major award ceremonies, I’m really excited to see his next film the Tempest and I’ve heard nothing but great things about his recent play “Cock.” AND HOPEFULLY I’ll be seeing his new play in NYC over spring break!!

A few choice quotes and more pictures after the cut!
