Back in August news came out that Parker Posey had been diagnosed with Lyme Disease and that she would be pulling out of her off-Broadway play This. Well, she appears to be doing better because she has just now been cast in the new movie “Highland Park” as a former homecoming queen and neurotic mayor of a town. The movie stars Danny Glover and is about a teacher who wins the lottery and donates the money to the high school library which was shut down due to not enough funding.
The cool thing is, the movie-makers are hoping it will raise awareness for a local library in Detroit , McGregor Library, that was shut down for similar reasons where the movie is being shot.
I’m so excited that Parker’s doing better because she’s one of my favorite actresses, and that she’s going to be back in a movie about LIBRARIES!
